The Magic Energy Machine

What if we thought of our businesses as this Energy Machine?
Let's say we look at our time, our money, our other resources and our effort as simply units of energy.  So that's what we put into this energy machine.  What we get out are units of energy as well.  And this resulting energy could be recognition, could be $, could be incredible satisfaction, it could even be free time or the ability to take a vacation any time we want.  So that when we are getting more energy out of our business then we put in, the Energy Machine is working.  That's how we know our businesses are working for us rather then us working for our business.
