Stop Playing Small
Since I have taken on the Time Experts Telesummit, one question I have been hearing a lot is "What do you see as the biggest time management challenge?"My answer may surprise you at first.
What I see as the biggest time management challenge is Playing Small. Not going for what we want, wanting something and holding back just doesn't feel good.
It doesn't sound like a time issue, but it is. We don't have time to waste playing small.
I'll speak for myself. When I go for what I really want. When I gently push my edge and know that I am being the best I can be at any given moment. And this is important, when I am able to forgive myself even when I am not. I feel good about myself. I feel good about my business. I feel good about my life.
The artistry of playing a bigger game is to push your edge without pushing too hard. It's giving it your all and forgiving yourself when you can't.
I love the notion of asking powerful questions and living in that question without trying to force the answer too quickly. The more you're in the question of what you do, the more powerful your work is going to be, always...
Here's one for ya: "What's a bigger game I can play in my business and in my life?"
I invite you to live in this question and to stop playing small. You simply don't have time for it.
